Our volunteers in action!

At the Lighthouse we LOVE our volunteers!  These two wonderful ladies really help keep our Thrift store going. They work tirelessly (each 20 hours per week) to help keep our clothing area stocked and full of great clothes to choose from. They also enjoy working together since they were friends before they became volunteers. What a great idea...VOLUNTEER WITH A FRIEND!

Betty Elsea began volunteering at the Lighthouse in April 2006. She spent 25 years in accounting at the Marshall Habilitation Center and has been retired for 8 years. She says “I love garage sales and this is like going to a big sale everyday! I used to work but now I do something worthwhile.”

Lorene Treece was persuaded by Betty to volunteer. She started in September 2006. She is retired also and owned her own flower shop in Sweet Springs. She enjoys crafts and sewing. She  says “This is better than staying home and this store needs more room!”

WE APPRECIATE YOU BETTY & LORENE!
